Ding ding! Is that the
Bloodmobile we hear? Yes, if it had a bell like an ice cream truck,
but the Red Cross Bloodmobile is making its annual stop at Midstate
on Monday, Jan. 19!Show your patriotic spirit and support for those in need by
participating in our blood drive. Red Cross volunteers will be on
hand to oversee the donations. Donors will receive a stickpin shaped
like a blood droplet. And yes, as always, orange juice and Archway
cookies are available to all donorsĪbut only if you donate! The
sign-up sheet is located on the 2nd floor employee break room.
Although Human Resources led all departments in employee donations
last year, with an impressive 11 pints, Accounts Receivable was the
unofficial winner. A.R. supervisor Herbert Kornfeld persuaded
several of his non-Midstate accountant colleagues to donate a sum
total of 21 pints.
To clear up some confusion from last year, donors have no control
over where or to whom their blood goes. In other words, if you have
Type A blood, it doesn't necessarily mean your blood will
automatically go to a Type A Accounts Receivable clerk.
